Final apartment change

 Here is my new splendiferous apartment:

And then a trip to the Conad to stock the cucina:

And then, because it's Sunday, I took the beautiful hike to San Biagio, just because.  This church seems to pop up out of the ground, all stately and proud.  Rosy shades in the morning sun.  Dignified.


Out of sheer luck, I got there just as mass was starting.  So I joined in!  I was so pleased to find that I could follow most of it, even the homily.  There was a sparrow trapped in the cupola and it kept flying around and around.  Poor guy.  If you remember from last year, this is the church that was built on the spot of an early church, medieval, one that had a fire and everything was destroyed except a painting of the Virgin.  And then a further miracle!  It was discovered that the Virgin's eyes actually follow you around.  This painting is now behind the altar.  So she's looking right at you throughout the mass.  She sees you when you're just mouthing the words, she knows how much you put in the collection bowl.  It's just too fabulous!
